NAME OF THE VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCT, ITS CONCENTRATION AND PHARMACEUTICAL FORM
Vetbicin-5, 1 500 000 IU, sterile powder
Vetbicin-5 as an active substance contains a mixture of two antibiotics: benzathine benzylpenicillin – 1,200,000 IU, benzylpenicillin procaine – 300,000 IU.
The preparation presents a white or yellowish-white powder, forming a stable suspension with water.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
Vetbicin-5 is recommended for animals for the treatment of infections of bacterial etiology, caused by pathogens sensitive to benzylpenicillin.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
With an increased individual sensitivity of the animal to antibiotics of the penicillin series, the use of the preparation is contraindicated.
Do not administer during pregnancy.

ADVERSE REACTIONS
Side effects after administration of the preparation in accordance with the indications of the leaflet, as a rule, are not recorded.
In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to antibiotics of the penicillin series and the occurrence of allergic reactions, the use of the preparation is stopped and desensitization therapy is carried out, adrenomimetics are injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly or intravenously; 10% calcium chloride solution intravenously.

Cattle, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, METHOD, METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION AND PRESCRIBED DOSAGE
Before use, in the bottle with Vetbicin-5, by perforating the cover and the rubber stopper, add 5-6 ml of injection solution (or sterile sodium chloride solution 0.9%, or sterile novocaine solution 1-2%), shake the bottle well until a homogeneous suspension is formed, which is immediately injected into the animal deep intramuscularly. If the needle has hit a blood vessel and a drop of blood has appeared, the needle must be removed and the injection repeated in another place.

The obtained suspension is administered to animals by single intramuscular injection in the following doses:
Large horned cattle 10 000 – 15 000 IU /kg animal live weight
Horses 10,000 – 20,000 IU/kg animal live weight
Small horned cattle 15 000 – 20 000 IU /kg animal live weight
Pigs 15 000 – 20 000 IU /kg animal live weight
Rabbits 40 000 – 50 000 IU / animal

If necessary, Vetbicin-5 is applied repeatedly over 7-10 days.

WAITING PERIOD
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 21 days after the last application of Vetbicin-5. Meat from forcibly slaughtered animals before the expiration of this period may be used for fur animal feed.
Milk from animals, obtained during treatment and for 14 days after the last injection with Vetbicin-5, is forbidden to be used for food purposes. Milk of this type can be used, after thermal treatment, for animal feed.

SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Vetbicin-5 is stored in the manufacturer's packaging, separated from food and feed, in a dry place, protected from sunlight, at a temperature of 5-25 ºC.

Vetbicin-5 is recommended to be kept in places inaccessible to children.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCTS OR WASTE MATERIALS DERIVED FROM VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCTS
The unused medicinal product is discarded according to the sanitary-veterinary requirements.
It is forbidden to use empty bottles of Vetbicin-5 for domestic purposes, they must be discarded together with household waste.

SPECIAL WARNINGS
Special precautions to be taken by the person administering the product to animals
While working with Vetbicin-5, it is necessary to observe the general rules of personal hygiene and safety techniques, provided for working with medicinal preparations.
In case of spontaneous contact of the preparation with the skin or ocular mucosa, wash quickly with a large amount of water. In people with increased sensitivity to the components of the preparation, it is recommended to avoid direct contact with Vetbicin-5. In the event of an allergic reaction or an accidental penetration of the preparation into the human body, it is necessary to urgently consult a doctor (it is necessary to present the leaflet and the label).

Interactions with other veterinary medicinal products and other forms of interaction
There are no data on the interaction of the preparation with other veterinary drugs.

DOSAGE
Symptoms of overdose in animals were not recorded.

PERIOD OF VALIDITY
Validity period, in case of compliance with the storage conditions - 3 years from the date of manufacture.
After the expiry date Vetbicin-5 should not be used.

LEGAL STATUS
It is issued with a veterinary prescription.

NATURE AND COMPOSITION OF PRIMARY PACKAGING
The preparation is supplied in the form of a sterile powder, hermetically packed in sealed neutral glass vials, with a capacity of 10 ml or 20 ml, with rubber stoppers and aluminum caps.
