CLINICAL
4.1. Target species:
broilers, turkeys and pigs.
4.2. Indications for use, indicating target species
The product is recommended for broilers, turkeys and pigs in the treatment of bacterial gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria sensitive to amoxicillin: colibacillosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcus, streptococcus, MMA syndrome in pigs, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, genital skin infections .
4.3. Contraindications:

Should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or excipients.

Do not use on rabbits and small rodents, chickens and animals with rumen gastric columns, functional.

4.4. Special considerations for each target species
Nobody.
4.5. Special precautions for use
Product use will be based on sensitivity testing of the bacteria isolated. if this is not possible, therapy will be based on epidemiological information about the isolated bacterial susceptibility.
Special precautions should be taken by the person prescribing the drug for animals. Amoxicillin may cause irritation if inhaled, or if exposed to the dermis.
For cases of inhalation, accidental eye, skin or ingestion, consult a doctor.

Avoid direct contact when using/handling the product.

This can cause allergic reactions and sometimes gastrointestinal disorders.
4.7. Use during pregnancy, lactation or egg laying
Do not use during pregnancy, lactation or egg laying.
4.8. Interaction with other drugs and other forms of interaction
Avoid simultaneous administration with other bacteriostatic drugs such as tetracyclines, macrolides, sulfonamides and quinolones. The emergence of cross-resistance to other penicillins has been noted.
4.9. Means of administration and route of administration
It is given orally in drinking water.
The total dose is between 0.1-0.2 g/10 kg g.c./day (8-16 mg amoxicillin trihydrate/kg g.c./zi) for 3-5 days. It is recommended to divide the daily dose every 12 hours (from approximately 2 times/day).
Broilers and turkeys:
- up to 4 weeks of age: 6-12 g / 100 l of drinking water
- after 4 weeks of age: from 10 to 20 g / 100 liters of drinking water
Pigs:
- up to 6 months of age: from 10 to 20 g / 100 l of drinking water
- after 6 months of age: from 15 to 30 g / 100 l of drinking water
In order to ensure the correct dosage, body weight must be determined accurately
animals wherever possible to avoid undercompensation.
4.10. Overdose (symptoms, emergency procedures, antidotes), if necessary
Do not exceed the prescribed dose
4.11. Waiting time
Broilers: 1 days
Pigs: 1 days
Türkiye: 2 days
There, birds (chickens and turkeys) are introduced to produce eggs for human consumption.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmacological group: broad spectrum penicillin.
5.1. pharmacodynamic properties
Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum beta-lactactamic, belonging to the group of semi-synthetic penicillins, with bactericidal activity that leads to interference with the bacterial cell wall in the synthesis of mucopolysaccharides. This leads to rupture of the bacterial cell wall and hence fibrinolysis of the bacterium.
It is active against major gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens. in particular
It is widely used to treat the following conditions:
- respiratory tract infections (bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, pleurisy);
- gastrointestinal infections (enteritis);
- urinary tract infections (nephritis);
- genital infections;
- skin infection;
- joint infections.
5.2. pharmacokinetic
Amoxicillin is stable in an acidic environment and is absorbed after oral administration at a rate of 80%; absorption is independent of feed. Dispersal into organs and tissues is rapid and high, resulting in higher concentrations than the MIC of microorganisms. Antibiotic removed
active form on the kidneys. Amoxicillin is well tolerated in a variety of animal species.
