4. PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES:
The intensification and strong industrialization of animal production has led to a considerable improvement in the performance that refers to the rate of growth, production and fertility.
The directorate and nutrition contributed significantly to this improvement. Nutrient density had to be adjusted to increase requirements. Since vitamins are deeply involved in the metabolism of nutrients and in the body's essential functions, it was absolutely necessary to adapt and supplement consumption and intake. Practically, experience shows that clinically, but much more frequently sub-clinically, deficiencies appear due to the fact that many factors interfere with nutritional supplements and can influence each net amount of vitamin that is necessary for animals. These factors are related to the variations in the natural content and bioavailability of the vitamins in the raw materials of the feed, from the loss of vitamins during the processing of the feed and during storage, from the inadequate assessment of requests, from the presence of stress or ailments, but also from the reduction of the use of vitamins .
These conditions do not attract attention frequently, and the results lead to significant losses in production. More than that, vitamins have subsequent beneficial effects when administered on time. Thanks to these findings, a special use was found in the prevention of various diseases in poultry and other animals.
