Active substance:
Ivermectin 10 mg
Glycerol formal, Propylene glycol.

Ivermectin is effective in treatment of parasitic infections of cattle, for treatment and control of  endo and ectoparasitic infections in swine, sheep.

Do not administer this VMP intravenously or intramuscularly.
Do not use this VMP in non target species of animals. Ivermectin may be fatal in certain dog breeds (collie, old english sheepdog, mongrels).

Special warnings
In cattle in the oedemic territoryavoid therapy in migratory phase of infection with Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum. Cattle also may feel discomfort and transient sweating at the site of drug application. In order to minimize these effects, the application site on the maximum amount of the drug should not be greater than 10 ml. The VMP is not used in cows and sheep whose milk is used for human consumption. In sheep, for the treatment and control of mange caused by Psoroptes ovis with the recommended two-story drug application with the space of seven days. Too frequent use of one type of anthelmintic and subdosage, promote the development of resistance. One should be cautious in the treatment of young piglets, because the therapeutic doses of the drug, although rare, can occur disorders such as ataxia, tremor and mydriasis.

Special precautions for use in animals
Resistance to macrocyclic lactones is a rising concern. It is contributed with too frequent use and subdosages.

Use during pregnancy, lactation or lay
MEDIMECTIN can be administered to cows, sheep and pigs in all stages of pregnancy and lactation. Milk from treated cows and sheep is not intended for human consumption.

MEDIMECTIN is administered only subcutaneously. Recommended therapeutic dose of ivermectin for cattle and sheep is 200 μg/kg body weights. The application area in cattle is in front of or behind the shoulder, whereas in sheep it is the neck. The recommended dose of ivermectin for pigs is 300 μg / kg b.w. The drug is administered only subcutaneously in the neck.
